Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background and interest in various areas of law, including but not limited to real estate and probate. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft comprehensive legal documents. As a Litigation Attorney, you will represent clients in court proceedings and provide expert legal advice while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation matters across multiple areas of law.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date within the law office.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact cases or client interests.
- Engage with experts as needed for cases involving patent law or securities law.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation required.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective negotiations and manage complex cases.
- Previous legal administrative experience is a plus; familiarity with case management systems is beneficial.
- Excellent research skills with proficiency in using legal research databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
