- Associate Attorney Needed Plaintiff Side Civil Litigation

Bergman Oslund Udo Little PLLC is devoted to the representation of individuals harmed by corporate or governmental wrongdoing. We primarily represent victims of asbestos exposure and childhood sexual abuse. We have busy trial and appellate practices which include many significant verdicts and published appellate decisions.
We are looking for a new associate to join our collegial team who will be supporting both practice areas. Our ideal candidate is a concise and thoughtful writer who is passionate about justice while maintaining a sense of humor. This position provides an opportunity to collaborate with and support some of the top trial attorneys in the Pacific Northwest. Because of the size of our firm, our associates gain valuable experience in the court room, with clients, and at depositions early in their careers. There are no billable hour requirements because we only handle contingency fee cases, meaning we succeed when our clients succeed.
General responsibilities:
- Drafting and responding to discovery.
- Conducting legal research.
- Drafting and responding to significant motions, including motions for summary judgment.
- Arguing motions.
- Taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions.
- Meeting with clients.
- Second or third chair trial duties.
Benefits:
No billable hours. Total compensation $150,000 and above dependent upon experience and qualifications. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
- Member in good standing of the Washington State Bar (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Law Review and/or judicial clerkship preferred.
- 0-5 years of litigation experience.
- The ability to travel as necessary.
- Prior experience or demonstrable interest in plaintiff-side civil litigation preferred.
