Description
Small litigation firm seeks one or more associates with 1-3 years of experience preferred involving litigation.
This is a full-time hybrid position as an Associate Attorney located in Lexington, Kentucky. The Associate Attorney will assist in defending cases involving wrongful death, discrimination, sexual harassment, and catastrophic loss utilizing a teamwork approach with partners, associates and paralegals. In addition, the Associate Attorney will carry a caseload involving personal injury automobile and premises liability cases. Tasks performed include attending court hearings; depositions and trials, drafting pleadings, written discovery and dispositive motions; and assisting with the hiring of expert witnesses and other case development. Must be able to handle files to conclusion in a proactive manner with timely written reporting to adjusters and clients.

Requirements
-Graduated from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree
-Licensed to practice law in Kentucky
-Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an Associate Lawyer or similar role
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work collaboratively and independently, and manage multiple tasks and priorities
