Description
Pike Legal Group, PLLC, a multi-state law firm with offices in Shepherdsville, Kentucky (greater Louisville area), is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its collaborative team of legal professionals. Our practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, zoning, commercial leasing, administrative law, land use, wireless telecommunications, regulatory permitting and related litigation.
As a boutique law firm representing many of the largest wireless communications companies in the United States, we offer in-depth expertise and industry-specific service to our clients. Services include real estate document review and preparation, regulatory permitting and zoning, and litigation support. While our practice focuses primarily on the needs of wireless communications industry clients, we also have ongoing work representing localities and conventional commercial zoning matters.
We have a nationwide practice, with attorneys licensed in 9 states, 13 U.S. District Courts, 4 U.S. Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Pike Legal Group attorneys have handled numerous reported state and federal cases and have authored legal articles and publications, including the Kentucky League of Cities zoning treatise that is relied upon state-wide by local officials and attorneys.
Our ongoing wireless communications practice includes a regular high volume of active cases in multiple states, and we have handled cases before every planning commission in Kentucky. Additionally, we handled almost 80% of all wireless communications tower applications approved by the Kentucky Public Service Commission in 2025.
Pike Legal Group employs a team-based task/project management system instead of a conventional law firm model. Workflows are managed through daily meetings to discuss and assign tasks, and the office is designed with an open floor plan to facilitate constant cooperation and collaboration among attorneys. Our model mirrors the management systems used by our leading-edge technology clients.
The Associate Attorney position will focus primarily on zoning and permitting in the wireless communications field and commercial leasing, with additional assignments possible in the firm’s other practice areas. While previous experience in these areas is not required, the ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability quickly to familiarize themselves with these areas of the law and the wireless communications industry in general.
Applicants for this position ultimately must be members of the Kentucky Bar. Applicants taking the Summer 2025 Kentucky Bar Examination will also be considered for hiring pending admission to the Kentucky Bar. Depending upon qualifications, the starting salary for the position as Clerk prior to Bar admission will be up to $60,000, with a starting salary as Attorney with Bar admission of up to $80,000.
This is a modern law firm with a team-based focus serving large institutional clients on projects in the practice areas listed above. Accordingly, applicants should be aware that the position may not be a good fit for someone committed to a general practice model with a conventional attorney-individual client paradigm.
