Associate Attorney
Description
A small boutique creditors’ rights law firm in West St. Louis County seeks a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to be a part of its dynamic legal team for commercial litigation, retail collection, medical receivables, hospital liens, workers’ compensation, self-pay and insurance claims.
Position Summary:
You will represent and serve creditors primarily in the Associate and Circuit Divisions of St. Louis City and County, St. Charles and Jefferson Counties and effectively manage a caseload in and out of court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use negotiating and collection skills to collect commercial and private debt
- Review and file pleadings, produce and answer discovery, file garnishments
- Advise and counsel clients to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) and Missouri Bar License required. Illinois Bar License preferred.
- Four years legal experience
- Two years of creditors’ rights or collections law preferred
- Complex civil litigation experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
