Kenyon Disend, PLLC is seeking an experienced municipal attorney, preferably residing in the South Puget Sound area, to join our collaborative team. Kenyon Disend has been providing exceptional municipal law services to Washington cities and public agencies since 1993. We are seeking a dedicated and personable attorney with a minimum of five years of municipal law experience interested in providing city attorney services to our current and growing list of clients in the Pierce County area. Kenyon Disend understands your career is about choices, prioritizing quality client-focused work product while working independently in a hybrid environment.
Desired qualifications include demonstrated research, writing, and analytical skills, preferably advising government clients. Past work in some or all of the following areas is preferrable, however, not necessarily required: in-house city attorney experience or experience in municipal law; litigation; land use; labor and employment law; the Open Public Meetings Act; the Public Records Act; public works contracting issues; and condemnation. This position is anticipated to serve as a City Attorney to a client municipality and the selected candidate should expect to attend a minimum of two City Council meetings a month, which may require travel within the state.
This is a hybrid position; the ability to attend in-person client meetings in western Washington state is required. This position offers exceptional work/life balance.
