As part of our expansion, we’re seeking a Commercial Collections Attorney with the expertise and drive to lead legal efforts in recovering delinquent accounts nationwide.

position overview:

This role involves handling complex commercial debt recovery efforts, including litigation, negotiations, and enforcement of judgments across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of commercial collections law and experience with MCA-specific recovery tactics, including UCC filings and breach-of-contract litigation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and prosecute commercial collection cases across the U.S., including filing suits and securing judgments.
Draft and review demand letters, settlement agreements, and related legal documents.
Enforce judgments through liens, garnishments, and other post-judgment remedies.
Advise internal collections and underwriting teams on legal strategy and risk.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards in multi-state debt recovery.
Coordinate with local counsel in various states as necessary.
Represent the company in court appearances, mediations, and depositions.
Qualification:

JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law (multi-state licenses or willingness to coordinate with local counsel preferred).
3+ years of experience in commercial collections, creditors' rights, or MCA-related litigation.
Strong knowledge of UCC, breach-of-contract law, and post-judgment enforcement tools.
Familiarity with nationwide jurisdictional procedures and filing requirements.
Excellent negotiation, legal writing, and litigation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases.
