Description

HWA is looking for a highly motivated attorney interested in developing and enhancing their litigation skills. This position offers hands-on experience in all phases of commercial litigation, including direct client contact, courtroom appearances, and drafting substantive motions and briefs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in litigation;
• Knowledge of federal and Texas rules of civil procedure and evidence;
• Ability to efficiently research, analyze, and brief supervising attorneys on complex legal issues;
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and memoranda (law school clinics, clerkships, or internships count);
• Background or coursework in business, real estate, or commercial matters (preferred but not required);
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in an in-office setting;
• Drive, ambition, and a desire to gain courtroom experience early in their career.
