Description
Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, Inc., a non-profit, public interest law firm is seeking a staff attorney for its Consumer Rights Project to provide direct representation to low-income clients. Candidate will assist low income clients with cases involving litigation which may involve deceptive trade practices, payday/title loans, vehicle purchase, debt collection defense, and with community outreach and other matters as assigned. Prefer a candidate with some experience, as well as familiarity with state and federal district courts, and state and federal consumer protection statutes. Excellent legal writing and communication skills are a must. Salary depends upon experience.
Starting salary range is $70,000 - $100,000 depending upon experience with annual increases available. Our excellent benefits start on date of hire and include:

Preferred Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate is committed to public interest law and community service and has the desire to work with and zealously advocate for our clients. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required. The candidate must be a licensed attorney in good standing from any United States jurisdiction (Nevada offers special licensing for attorneys relocating to Nevada to provide legal services through Legal Aid Center.)
