We’re hiring a Criminal Defense Trial Attorney to join a firm built on justice, compassion, and fierce advocacy. You’ll carry your own caseload, handle serious matters with independence, and collaborate with a sharp, values-driven team that always puts people first.
Your Role
- Take the lead on a balanced caseload of felony and misdemeanor matters
(You’ll start with approximately 50 cases and scale based on complexity and your own growth goals.) - Advocate with intention — your strategy will center on the client’s real-life outcomes, not just a quick plea
- Own the courtroom — handle hearings, negotiate plea offers, and try cases when necessary
- Draft thoughtful motions and build your cases from the ground up
- Work closely with Attorney Alexandria Cazares-Perez and our experienced legal team
- Prepare thoroughly, but think on your feet — our clients deserve both precision and presence
- Maintain clear, compassionate communication with clients, and their loved ones, who trust us to fight for what matters most
Requirements
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active member of the Texas State Bar, and in good standing
- 2+ years of experience as a criminal defense attorney, or similar experience with a focus on litigation and courtroom advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to manage your own cases with professionalism and integrity
- Strong legal writing and motion practice skills
- Deep understanding of Texas criminal procedure and evidentiary rules
- Composure under pressure and confidence before a judge or jury
- Commitment to client-centered representation, regardless of background or accusation
- Integrity, empathy, and a willingness to fight for what’s right
- Must read, write, and speak in Spanish.
