Callahan Law, owned and operated by respected author Linda M. Callahan, is seeking a Contract Criminal Defense Attorney to join our busy criminal defense division. We provide a consistent flow of cases, administrative support, and client leads so you can focus on advocacy and results.

The purpose of this contract role is to expand our network of trusted attorneys and offer a path toward long-term collaboration.

• Our Ideal Candidate Will:
  
  • Reside in Snohomish, King, Pierce, Thurston, Mason, or Lewis County
    (Applicants outside this region will not be considered.)
  • Be a licensed Washington attorney in good standing (recent admits and experienced solos both welcome).
  • Have criminal defense or DUI experience (Rule 9 experience with prosecution or defense accepted).
  • Demonstrate compassion for defending the accused and strong client communication skills.
  • Possess some experience in negotiations and courtroom advocacy (trial or moot court experience a plus).
  • Have a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel for coverage (Snohomish County to Thurston County, with occasional appearances in Mason and Lewis).
  • Be open to taking evening/weekend calls for new client consultations. Performance bonuses are paid for signing new clients from firm-provided leads.
  • Be ready to learn, adapt, and collaborate using firm systems (Clio, Twist, Google Workspace).
• What We Provide:
  • Consistent case assignments (30–50 at any given time).
  • $5,000–$6,000 monthly retainer plus performance bonuses.
  • Mileage reimbursement for required travel.
  • Full administrative support — we handle intake, billing, scheduling, and marketing.
  • Motion templates, brief banks, and team collaboration support.
  • Flexibility to continue handling your own private cases outside of firm work.
