We're hiring a Criminal Defense Trial Attorney to join a firm built on justice, compassion, and fierce advocacy. You'll carry your own caseload, handle serious matters with independence, and collaborate with a sharp, values-driven team that always puts people first.
Compensation:
- $100,000$120,000 base salary plus bonuses and custom incentives based on performance and self-generated cases
$100,000 $120,000 base salary plus bonuses & incentives
Responsibilities:- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
- Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
- Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
- Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
- Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
- Must be an attorney licensed to practice in Texas
- Must read, write, and speak in Spanish
- Must be able to handle a criminal caseload or similar litigation experience
- Must have trial experience
