Upton, Mickits & Heymann LLP (UMH) is a full-service litigation law firm with offices in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Texas. We serve clients in all areas of Texas, but our primary geographical region is from San Antonio west to Del Rio, east to south Houston and south to the Rio Grande Valley. The firm is looking to fill an opening in our Corpus Christi location. UMH seeks an attorney with 3 to 5 years of litigation experience to assist with and/or handle a wide variety of personal injury and general liability cases. Thus, the candidate(s) should be ready to immediately handle an existing caseload. The position is full-time and in-office with an opportunity for some remote work. Experience:
- Membership in the Texas Bar
- At least three years of experience is preferred

Knowledge:
- Process-oriented mindset, with proven ability to meet deadlines and stay organized
- Proficiency with technologies that reduce costs and facilitate the practice of law and remote work
Responsibilities:
- Handle personal injury and general liability cases from intake through verdict including written discovery, fact and expert witness depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Correspond and report to client(s) regarding liability, venue, case evaluation, and probable outcomes.
- Review, analyze and summarize medical records, discovery document production, and other pertinent litigation related materials.
- Draft and respond to motions, demonstrating a deep understanding of legal principles and procedures.
