- Part-time Litigation Support Attorney - Medical Malpractice Defense

Henn Lesperance PLC is a growing boutique litigation law firm in downtown Grand Rapids providing exceptional, proven legal representation to local doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers, as well as hospitals and healthcare organizations. We are seeking a part-time Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation Support Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for experienced attorneys looking to stay engaged in meaningful legal work while maintaining a flexible schedule that supports personal and professional balance – with little to no travel required.
In this position you will have opportunities to work in all aspects of our litigation defense practice, including legal research and drafting of motions, briefs, and memoranda, client/witness meetings, medical expert retention and discussion, preparing discovery responses, deposition preparation, trail preparation and support, and collaborate with trial attorneys on case strategy and development. You’ll be a valued member of our team, contributing to high-quality legal work on a schedule that works for you.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Admission to the Michigan Bar (or a willingness to become licensed), excellent academic credentials, and strong communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work at least 20 hours per week. The work can be performed in person, at our office location in downtown Grand Rapids, hybrid or remote. Occasional in-office presence may be required depending on team needs or specific assignments.
