Contract Probate & Family Law Attorney (with potential for full-time)

We are a small, established family law firm in Framingham, Massachusetts, seeking a Contract Attorney to join our team. For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Probate & Family Court matters including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, modifications, and contempt actions.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and agreements; attend hearings and mediation/conciliation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation/conciliation sessions.
• Attend motion hearings, pretrial/status conferences, and trials.
• Provide compassionate, timely communication and support to clients.
• Collaborate with the firm’s attorneys and paralegals on case strategy.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Massachusetts Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Massachusetts family law litigation preferred.
• Must be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, with a minimum of five years of family law experience strongly preferred.
• Strong drafting, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a team.
• Compassionate, client-focused approach.

Compensation

       Compensation commensurate with experience.
