Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Family Law Attorney with 5-10 years of trial experience to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney looking to elevate their career. The ideal candidate will be independent, confident, and a strong communicator, with a passion for working closely with clients and colleagues to navigate challenging family law matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Lead and manage complex divorce and family law cases, including trials, depositions, and negotiations.
- Legal Strategy: Develop and implement case strategies for litigated divorce cases, ensuring client needs are met while achieving favorable outcomes.
- Client Relations: Work empathetically with clients to understand their needs, provide legal guidance, and manage expectations throughout the legal process.
- Team Collaboration: Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and other team members, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth case progression.
- Business Development: Contribute to business growth by cultivating relationships, generating new clients, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Independent Work: Manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision, demonstrating solid time management and organizational skills.
- Board Certification: Be Board Certified in Marital and Family Law or have met the standards to apply for Board Certification.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in family law, including significant trial experience. Must have handled divorce, child support, and related matters, with a proven track record of success.
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Marital and Family Law or have met the standards to apply for Board Certification.
- Skills:
- Strong legal writing and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work empathetically with clients, lawyers, and staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Confidence in litigating complex family law matters.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, independent, and driven to succeed.
- Business Development: Portable business or the ability to generate new business is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High-Net-Worth Experience: Proven ability to manage complex, high-net-worth divorce cases and related family law matters.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing or mentoring junior attorneys and support staff.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and business demands.
