Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Community Associations & Collections Attorney to join our team.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Communicate regularly with Community Associations and Management on a regular basis
- Counsel associations on compliance, governance, procedural, substantive, enforcement, and dispute resolution
- Interpret governing documents and applicable laws and regulations regarding rights and responsibilities
- Review and revise condominium instruments, bylaws, governing documents
- Prepare contracts, document amendments, policies and procedures and guide development and implementation
- Counseling on corporate governance compliance, attend and advise at board meetings of the association
- Assist Community Associations in collections matters on behalf of the associations
- Appear in court for hearings on collections matters
- Conduct legal research 
- Prepare cases for trial, including strategy development, witness preparation, and exhibit organization
 

Requirements

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Virginia
- 2+ years of experience practicing Community Associations and Collections is required
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Comfortable communicating with clients during emotional or stressful situations
