What You'll Do
The Associate Attorney is responsible for representing clients in Family and Criminal Defense matters, including child custody, adoption, DUI/DWI, assault, and related cases. The role includes conducting 15–20 client consultations per week, maintaining a 35–40% consultation-to-retainer conversion rate, and generating approximately four new client engagements weekly.
Key responsibilities also include managing an active caseload, drafting and filing legal documents, representing clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials, and maintaining consistent communication with clients and stakeholders. The attorney is expected to monitor case performance through KPIs, ensure accurate case management, improve workflows through technology and automation, delegate tasks effectively to support staff, and collaborate with leadership to achieve individual, departmental, and firm-wide objectives.

Requirements
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who brings both legal expertise and leadership potential.
Required
- Licensed and authorized to practice law in Tennessee
- Minimum of 4–5 years of Family and Criminal Law experience
- Strong litigation experience
- Experience with mediation and negotiations
- Excellent legal research and legal writing skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organization and time-management abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior attorneys
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, though not required.
